Ute Mons ist Leiterin der Stabsstelle Krebsprävention am Deutschen Krebsforschungszentrum in Heidelberg. Wenn man über Krebsvorsorge reden will, redet man automatisch über das Rauchen, denn das ist Krebsrisikofaktor Nummer eins.

Deutschlandweit sterben 120.000 an tabakbedingten Erkrankungen, die Hälfte davon sind Krebserkrankungen. Das Rauchen kostet die Volkswirtschaft 80 Milliarden Euro im Jahr und diese Kosten werden von 25% der Bevölkerung verursacht.
