One list answering “What I believe about Jesus”: The Second List answering “What the Scripture teaches about Jesus.” Compare the two lists and talk about them as a family. What stand out between the two lists? Did Jesus Claim to Be God? Read John 10:22–33 and John 8:58-59 out loud Mark 14:61-62; Matthew 14:33;28:17; Mark 2:1-12 What is the significance of Jesus’s accepting worship (Matthew 14:33; 28:17)? What is the significance of Jesus’s forgiving sins (Mark 2–12)? What is the significance of Jesus’s claiming to be the Messiah (especially in Mark 14:61–62 in which Jesus quotes from Daniel 7:13–14)? Was Jesus God? Matthew 9:35-38; Matthew 5:1-16; John 11:32-36 What did you find most fascinating about Jesus in these passages? Why is it so hard for people today to accept Jesus as Lord?
