Everyone experiences tragedies, difficulties, upsets, and overwhelming heartaches that are overwhelming and devastating, and in those times, some of the greatest questions that we struggle with are: "Where is God in all of this? Why did this happen? What is God doing?" Often while we are struggling in the midst of our brokenness, doubt, frustration, and weariness, someone with the best of intentions shares a verse like Romans 8:28 in a genuine attempt to "help" and comfort. It is critically important to understand what the "good" that God is doing is referring to.
