Episode 5 – Hindsight: Armin and Mustafa were trainees in DFDS and now they both work at the HQ in Copenhagen. They look fondly back on their time as trainees and how it shaped who they are today. They also offer some sound advice for the incoming class.

DFDS Trainees are young graduates that embark on a two-year journey at two different locations in our network, spending one year in Shipping and one year in Logistics. Trainees learn by doing and have real clients and projects with real potential to impact the business. They gain a wide network in Northern Europe, both inside DFDS and outside. In addition to hands-on training, they attend the Danish Shipping Academy, a part of Danish Shipping. In this four-, make that five-, part miniseries, we look into what it’s really like to be a trainee – from the job itself to adapting to life in a different country, far from home to the funny side of cultural differences and then in the final two episodes, we speak to three former trainees who made the transition to employee.

Applications to be part of our 2018 batch of trainees are open through March 30, so if you’d like to start the ripple effect of your career, visit: dfds.com/trainee You never know where it will take you!
