Panel Beater, and Dr. Scharma tackled the important topic of gut-health this week on Radiotherapy. The team’s first guest was gastroenterologist Dr. Chamara Basnayake who delved into what gastroenterology entails as well as the importance of diet. From Dr. Basnayake, the team called up Bobbie Riley, who was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis at just 20. After receiving a faecal transplant, with help from Dr. Basnayake, Bobbie is an advocate for good gut-health and shared her story on this week’s show! In the news, a patient and three nurses were stabbed by another patient at Sydney’s Royal Prince Alfred and the nutritional value of packaged foods and drinks were reevaluated.
