Heavy rains and flooding have caused chaos in several Indian states, not least due to an alarming rise in crocodile sightings. One such unwelcome visitor was spotted outside the door of a house in Vadodara, in the Indian state of Gujarat. Video posted to social media shows the crocodile relaxing, seemingly enjoying his unplanned holiday. Brave Forest Department staff, armed with only a rope on a stick, managed to secure the crocodile before it could invite itself in for dinner.
Elsewhere, crocodiles have been spotted in the street and on rooftops, thought to be from the overflowing Vishwamitri River, which houses around 300 of them.
