This lecture discusses key ideas from the ancient philosopher Aristotle's work of moral theory, the Nicomachean Ethics. Specifically it focuses focuses on Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics bk 5, where Aristotle says that "justice is an equivocal term", meaning that there are multiple senses of the term "justice". A careful analysis of Aristotle's text reveals that there are actually six main conceptions of justice discussed by him there: legal justice, justice as complete virtue, distributive justice, corrective justice, reciprocity, and equity.
