The CSA special covers everything the GP trainee needs to know about the exam from the perspectives of all of the key players involved and includes their top tips to help you pass. The RCGP chief examiner, Dr Pauline Foreman, is interviewed about her aspirations for the CSA, the legal challenge by the British Association of Physicians of Indian Origin and the subsequent judicial review, the cost of the exam and the recent changes. Two trainees, Dr Matt Williams and a colleague from HEKSS deanery, discuss preparation techniques and their ideas, concerns and expectations before the big day and their thoughts after they have sat it whilst they await the result. Dr Sophie Jukes, a CSA examiner, is interviewed by Dr Sadiya Ayaz, about how she became an examiner and what the exam involves from her perspective, including the main traps candidates tend to fall into, so you can avoid them. Carole Been and George Savvides, two experienced CSA role players are interviewed by Dr Helen Lawal about the day from the actors’ perspective including their preparation techniques, calibration and find out if they are allowed to help anyone they feel may be struggling.

The CSA special gives you essential insider knowledge to help you pass the exam: made by trainees for trainees.
