As dementia continues to rise in epidemic numbers in our country, so too, does the challenge of providing competent care to those most impacted in our families and church communities. It is therefore vital to understand the implications that this disease has on grief, loss, and our most significant relationships, so that we can compassionately support people living with dementia and their care partners through this long and challenging illness.

Kay M. Adams is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in the field of dementia care. Kay is a Certified Dementia Consultant, Educator, Coach, Trainer, and Speaker who is passionate about supporting people living with dementia, as well as the families, caregivers and communities entrusted with their care. Known for her engaging story-telling, and for bringing a unique authenticity and humor to her presentations, Kay can make often uncomfortable topics safe and stimulating for her audiences to engage in, experience, and to explore.
