In this installment of SAIPOD , we take the opportunity to reflect on the SahWira Global Summit which was held on the 24th and 25th of May 2022. The theme was 'Decolonising the mind: Healing the feminine, rebirth new perspectives, and recreate ourselves'. The Summit was organised in partnership with The Centre for Research on Ethnic Relations and Nationalism (CEREN), Swedish School of Social Science, and the University of Helsinki. We will hear a few words from the Executive Director of SahWira, Dr Faith Mkwesha ,who will share with us some of her observations from the Global summit. Additionally we will get to sample some audio from the summit to remind us of the spirit of the occasion.
