Savvy Records channels the omniscient spirit of it's creators, and exists in the minds and souls of it's lovers. In art galleries, studios, bars, restaurants, clubs and warehouses, underground and above, whether illuminating the dance-floor or playing in the background, it's always about amusement. It doesn't usually make any sense, and sounds more abstract than anything else, but that only makes it all the more jazzing for us. Savvy is a contemporary concept label founded in Canada by Torontonian visionary and DJ, Discrete, as an opportunity for emerging artists to collaborate and communicate on a much more macroscopic scale. We are an international art collective of independent producers working together around a table of abstruse conversation and regurgitated gibberish, sharing the brightest and darkest facets of our imagination. Our label is more interested in the unexplored gaps within electronic music than being confined by one definitive category, which is why our catalogue appears more like a rainbow, spanning across everything from minimal techno to neo-pop. So if you want to get onto us, you can drop us a line or write us a letter and tell us we are wrong in doing this or that we are the bee's knees, because the next big blockbuster we put out is going to have lots of foul language and all sorts of new and exciting contradictions.
