To a Czech person the czech-sounding name of Australia´s rising music star can not get unnoticed. And it is true. Vendulka´s parents are Czech, and the young musician grew up listening to Nohavica and other Czech folk songs.

Vendulka now tours the world with her guitar, mesmerizing the audience, judges of various music competitions she enters (and often wins) as well as the world music stars, including John Bon Jovi. In the interview for SBS Czech she recalls her beginnings, talks about her travels and inspiration.

Našince nemůže netrknout česky znějící jméno australské vycházející pěvecké hvězdy Vendulky. A je to skutečně tak. Talentovaná zpěvačka (chválu na ní pějí hudebníci z celého světa) má oba rodiče Čechy. Čeština také dlouhou dobu byla, jak v rozhovoru pro SBS Czech prozrazuje, její první jazyk.

I když teď mluví a zpívá hlavně anglicky, na svůj český původ Vendulka rozhodně nezapomněla.
