Welcome to the first-ever episode of Science Sucks!

On this show, we debunk the myth the science sucks, one awesome chat at a time. This week, we talked to Maya DeGrood about... enzymes!

Enzymes are nature's catalysts. The speed up reactions so that literally... every function in our body can happen. Maya has a background in protein biochemistry and used crystallography to understand how enzymes work. Using research like hers, scientists use enzyme properties to save! lives!

Leaving crystallography behind, Maya is now taking on the new challenge of cancer biology. Her passion & energy is infectious... by the end of the episode, I was convinced that enzymes can save the world.
