Hope Lafferty is a medical writer and editor with years of experience both creating amazing technical content and fixing other people’s work. Prior to starting her own firm in 2009, she worked as an editor at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, The Hutch, and UT Austin. She is a contributor to the AMA manual of style, and is an active member of the National Association of Science Writers.

These days, she’s shifting her focus from writing and editing to coaching and public speaking. She presents her writing and editing tips to international conferences, and teaches both one-on-one and in classroom settings. Basically, she works with scientists and medical professionals to help them communicate more effectively and avoid common pitfalls in science communication.
