BANANA MONSTER!

I wanted to hate this weeks webipod. For both the usual reasons and far more legitimate ones. I have always had a bit of a love hate relationship with John Landis. On one hand he made An American Werewolf in London. On the other hand there was the whole death of Vic Morrow and two children ... thing. Yet whatever sins Mr. Landis may have to live with one of them is not this film.

Schlock was a surprisingly funny, low budget, zany romp. Paying homage to early Hollywood monster films ... the type we grew up watching on MST3K ... and infusing a little Woody Allen comic timing. James broke his streak of terrible film suggestions with this one and we all found ourselves enjoying life for a few hours.

Don't worry fans ... I'm sure we'll both hate and question the very reason we do this next week!
