"Raising kind-hearted kids is a marathon, not a sprint," says Natalie in her book, Simple Acts.
Natalie Silverstein believes that you don't have to change the world to make a difference. By doing what you can to help others in your own community and leading by example, you can make a huge impact in your children's lives - and the lives around you.
Simple Acts: The Busy Family's Guide to Giving Back is a resource guide for anyone looking to change their lives through the act of volunteering for themselves, their children, or the whole family.
Natalie is also the New York Coordinator for Doing Good Together, a nonprofit with the mission of helping parents raise kids who care and contribute.

Highlights
"My goal here is to help people see that you don't have to change the world. You don't have to fly around the world, you don't have to build a school in Africa. There is so much that you can do in your own community, that you can live your values and role model this behavior for your children, and it makes a huge difference." [8:32]
