Continuing with our different format for June, Sean and Dave are talking about current cartoons that they've been watching; Steven Universe and Attack on Titan. These two shows actually have a lot in common - 1) strong coming of age story, 2) a hero learning to use new powers, 3) and story with a lot of foreshadowing. Yes, Steven Universe and Attack on Titan are almost the same thing, despite the gruesome nature of AoT and the fun loving emotional tone of Steven Universe. You could almost do a mash up and have Attack on Universe? Steven Titan? All of this and what's inside Eren's dad's basement are discussed and revealed (jk, it's probably a VHS tape like in SU's Lion 3 - Straight to Video).
Is Dave a Titan with noodley arms? Is Sean really a Crystal Gem like a Spinel? (answers probably and he only wishes!) All of this and more on this week's episode of the Saturday Mourning Cartoons podcast!
