Brent Haynes – From the Marine Corps to Engineering

Gusto is making payroll, benefits, and HR easy for modern small businesses.

Brent enlisted in the Marine Corps after graduating from high school. He started as a mechanic and eventually got nominated to be a Crew Chief. He also became a Weapons and Flight Instructor.

Life in transition was not easy. For around six months, he struggled in unemployment. But he made the decision to step up and move forward towards achieving better things.

True enough, he pursued his college education and graduated with a degree in Electronics Engineering.

More Than the Ordinary Life

Brent went on to work for Pride Industrial. It was the biggest equipment supplier in the world that time. But he knew there was something more that he could do.

After awhile in the industry, he went to pursue another college degree. He graduated, quit his job and partnered with a friend from the Marine Corps to start a security company. The experience laid the groundwork for him in sales and management.

Freedommaid House Cleaning Professionals

Freedom Maid officially launched in the year 2010. Prior to that, Brent and his wife moved from California to Boise, Idaho with hopes of a greener pasture. But things did not come as they expected.

He and his wife lost their well-paying jobs. It was not until one day a good friend invited his wife to help clean her pantry. Within six months of their official launch, they earned a total of $27,000 USD in business.
