Financial Advisor Thomas Lorance joins Host Rebecca Dollinger to discuss his family's journey when his 11-year-old daughter was diagnosed with lymphoma. When things like this happen, priorities change, and we discover what's really important in life. The questions from this young girl were hard to deal with.
The oldest of 4 siblings, the youngest of the crew only saw the gifts and attention poured out on her. Thomas laughs as he recalls the youngest saying, "I want lymphoma, too!" when of course the entire situation was impossible to comprehend.
Financial planning is SUPER important, because we don't know the future and can easily be thrown a curveball. Thomas urges us to not spend all our time fearful of all the negative things that can go wrong. Even today, he's not spending all of his time thinking about all of the horrible things that happen at any time. Instead, he's become masterful at understanding the creative ways insurance instruments can be used as they relate to health and lifestyle options for the whole family.
