The Trudeau government is reviewing "aggressive measures" to clear the immigration backlog. Why is the immigration backlog so large? What might those aggressive measures be? Are the government's plans to permit 500,000 newcomers annually by 2025 realistic? Are the 75% of Canadians who have expressed concern the number is too high and will negatively affect housing, healthcare and government services, being unfair and exclusionary?
