Colby Sharp teaches 3rd grade in Parma, Michigan and collaborates on Nerdy Book Club, Nerd Camp, along with #TitleTalk, and #SharpSchu on Twitter, and other projects.

He recently launched a podcast with called The Yarn, which takes listeners behind the scenes of children s literature. In Season 1, Travis Jonker and Colby look at one book, Sunny Side Up, from all angles.

On his personal blog, he says, I believe that books have the power to help kids achieve their goals and follow their dreams.

You can learn from Colby as he talks with host Kevin Carlson about bringing his students together with authors, how he never reads a bad book, and becoming a more connected teacher in order to become a better teacher.
