"It does not make sense to mourn about clouds just being other peoples computers. With Kubernetes (k8s) and Docker you can easily create your own public cloud running on your cloud providers computers, or with a little more effort, your own private cloud running on or your own hardware. There has been evolved an entire ecosystem for software deployed in containers and for software components securing privacy in the k8s cloud. With CoreOS as an immutable operating system running immutable containers you could get a higher integrity level build in your application by design."
