On a spring Saturday, the villages of Tockington, Olverston and Thornbury were thrown into a state of turmoil at the news of a deliberate act of murder against respectable inhabitant of the village of Tockington.

This is a story of an embittered man and how his hatred overtook him and caused the death of another. We follow the Ex-Soldier's story right through to the unexpected twist at the end!
