On the 16th Sunday in Ordinary Time, we hear the prophetic cry from Jeremiah who warns that the bad shepherds who lead the flock astray will be punished for their evil deeds. Saint Paul reminds us that Jesus is our peace, while the Gospel of Mark recalls the mission of Jesus to preach, heal and feed and how his disciples and each one of us are also called to this mission of mercy.
