St. Louis FC Goalkeeper Kyle Morton joins Tim Van Horn for this week's episode. It's an exciting time for Morton and his teammates. St. Louis FC are off to a hot start in the USL Championship's Group E. They head into August on the heels of consecutive shutouts, blanking Louisville City and Indy Eleven. Morton, a 2019 Goalkeeper of the Year Finalist with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, talks about the transition to his new club. Not content to rest on last season's accolades, he talks about what factors have helped him quickly settling in with his new club. Kyle also discusses how St. Louis FC navigated the sports shutdown from a physical and mental perspective. He tells Tim that he took a different approach to the time off. He also shares a personal decision to make a significant lifestyle change which has impacted his abilities between the sticks. Kyle Morton, a Philadelphia Union youth system alum, hasn't been shy about putting in the work needed to grow his game. He talks about how the PDL gave the opportunity to get additional minutes to better learn the game. In other soccer news... Add more champions to the honor roll of 2020! Liverpool and Real Madrid have completed their domestic seasons, and we now have champs in Serie A & the NWSL. Brodee Scott and Tim Van Horn discuss who's headed to the Champions League and who has a shot at Europa League glory. Speaking of Champions League, there's a new broadcaster in the United States. They'll tell you where you'll be able to find the matches, effective for next week's matches. It's “So long!” to three Premier League clubs and hello to three EFL Championship clubs. The guys have a recap of which clubs are making the moves to a different division. The MLS tourney is now down to eight clubs, and a couple of matches were quite surprising. The USL Championship schedule has really heated up! The guys talk about some of the great action, including the upcoming Memphis 901 FC match vs. St. Louis FC.
