오늘은 박해울 작가님의 〈기파〉를 다뤄봤습니다. 한국과학문학상 제3회 장편부문 대상을 맏은 작품인데요. 찬기파랑가를 모티브로 만들어졌습니다. 찬기파랑가는 신라시대의 회랑이었던 기파랑을 기리는 작품이죠. 박해울 작가님의 〈기파〉는 기파랑이 정말로 선인이었을까 하는 의문점에서 출발합니다. 작중에서 기파는 사람들에게 존경 받는 의사로, 우주크루즈선인 오르카호에 선의로 올랐으나 오르카호가 소행성에 의해 대파되면서 조난 당하고 맙니다. 주인공인 충담은 우주택배업을 하는 도중에 우연히 오르카호를 발견하는데요. 충담은 과연 기파를 구할 수 있을까요? 굉장히 흡입력있고 영화 같은 소설이면서, 여러가지 질문을 던지는 좋은 소설인데요. 미스터리적이면서도 어둡고 공포스러운 분위기가 일품입니다. 덧글로 여러분들의 평가를 공유해주시면 재미있을 것 같습니다!
