Today's guest is Kyshira S. Moffett, MBA, she's an award-winning serial entrepreneur, brand strategist, and author who specializes in helping ambitious women entrepreneurs package their expertise, brand their influence, and monetize their online presence.

Kyshira is joining us today to share how she launched The Power Collective, with the mission to accelerate the growth of small and mid-sized woman-owned businesses to create more economic equality within the US. The Power Collective is a management consulting firm with specialties in business development, marketing and branding. Kyshira's entrepreneurial story is really interesting because she started her business unintentionally! She started as just helping out friends with simple tasks like creating resumes, career assistance and helping them with their personal branding. She started charging her services and through the word of mouth about her services she landed with some clients!

In this episode you will...

  • Discover more about the lead-up phase
  • Learn about charging properly for your services
  • Be ready to focus on revenue and not the noise
  • Hear about what it means to have a 6-figures income
  • Learn about the different ways you can market your services
  • Find out about setting up frameworks for your business

Insights:

"I feel like one of the biggest mistakes is like trying to jump straight into passive income. It's really hard to have a passive income if you don't have an active income. "

"Most people don't spend enough time betting and adjusting their frameworks in the beginning through one on one work to even get to the place of actually packaging it up. So like my first recommendation is one, create the framework to vet the framework, get some consistent results, get some consistent case studies and reviews. And number three, you need to build a brand around the framework. So what that means is one get your intellectual property game up, get your trademarks, okay, that's important."

"You're gonna have moments where you're being emotional, but recognizing that, hey, I'm being emotional. I'm freaking out right now this is but this is not the time for me to make a decision, right? I am not gonna be a risky decision about my business and just know that it never really goes away."
