Episode 2: Annise Parker served six years in City Council, six years as City Controller and six years as Mayor. She is the only person in Houston history to have held all three of these offices. She is one of only two women who have been elected mayor of Houston and was the first openly gay mayor of a major U.S. city. In 2010, Time magazine named Mayor Parker as one of the most influential people in the world.

In this interview Parker speaks about losing her first two races, challenging the media in being labeled as a "lesbian activist", her hardest days as mayor, and offers tips for women who want to run for public office.
