CRITICAL REFLECTION QUESTION
Are you programming from genuine interests?
So I was asked why an educators children flit from
one experience to another?
She has spent a lot of time creating beautiful experiences for her children
but they still flit around, not engaging well,
how does she move forward from here?
Let’s look at this
If your children are NOT engaging in the experiences you are offering…
There are generally a few things going on…
#1 The children are overwhelmed or board
#2 The experiences are not age appropriate
#3 The children don’t understand how to play
OR What we are focusing on today
# Experiences that support a child’s
genuine interests are not being offered.

CHALLENGE
Take time to look at each child in your care!!
What specific experiences did you program for them?
Did you program
#1. Experiences that would not overwhelm and not boar YOUR children
#2. Experiences that are age appropriate
#3. Build confidence and opportunities to engage
### Were they based on genuine real interests??
So be sure experiences that you plan are from…
>>Genuine engaging conversations
>>A real interest a child has shown to YOU
>>Age appropriate
Be sure they are NOT from…
>>A fleeting conversation
>>A borrowed interest from another child
