Fengru tells us about her passion for cheese and how her search for high quality dairy led to an awakening about poor farming conditions; poor animal hygiene, cows pumped with hormones, contaminated water and more. This all leads to poor quality milk and thus poor quality cheese. Her journey took her to Indonesia, Thailand and even to Vermont to learn her cheese making trade. In the end, she realized that if she could not source high quality milk, she could not continue her cheese making passion, thus starting her on the path of sustainable, clean lab-grown milk and the beginning of Turtle Tree Labs!

Understanding the massive size of the $700 billion global dairy market, they made the decision to focus on cell-based baby formula as their first product.
