Dr. Steve Wolf is a Clinical Psychologist, working withindividuals and couples in his private practice in West Los Angeles. He is a Diplomate of the National Anger Management Association. He directed the first therapeutic community drug program at New York’s Rikers Island Prison, volunteered with the Los Angeles Sheriff's department to co-create an acupuncture Detox Program on LA's skid row, co-authored and published, “Romancing The Shadow,” and co-created Topanga Mountain School. He developed the Wolf Training Institute and the "Taming Your Anger” and "Building Blocks for Emotional Intelligence” Program. Dr. Wolf taught Taming Your Anger to hundreds of men exiting prison on Parole, women in prison, At-Risk teens on probation, in his West LA private therapy practice. Taming Your Anger/Emotional Intelligence is a simple program based on principles of Cognitive Behavioral Psychology designed to assist participants to train their brain to develop a new habit pattern in response to the signal of anger. Dr. Wolf trains and certifies practitioners and is presently teaching Vet to Vet Peer Counselors to teach the Taming Your Anger program to other Veterans in Los Angeles. Taming Your Anger/Emotional Intelligence also teaches Emotional Intelligence. Participants develop a deeper understanding of emotional experience in Self and Others, resulting in greater self calm, increased self awareness and improved relationships.
