It would have been time for the annual popfest that is Eurovision except this year the contest has – like everything else – fallen foul of Coronavirus and has been postponed until 2021.
The live final of the song contest was due to take place in the city of Rotterdam on Saturday, May 16.
However, after COVID-19 was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation, the event was cancelled – although it is hoped that it will return to Rotterdam next year. With a clear chequered history in the Eurovision stakes, The UK may have cracked it with this year’s entry by James Newman.
