My guest today is Katrina McGhee, Katrina is a professionally certified life coach and MBA who inspires her clients to create richer, happier lives. Her amazing story has been featured on Forbes.com; you’re not gonna want to miss this!

After her initial career as a healthcare actuary, Katrina left to pursue an MBA and later began a new career in market research. Eventually realizing the corporate grind was not for her, she saved $40,000 in just eighteen months and embarked on a twenty-month career break to travel around the world.

Post career break, Katrina returned to corporate America with a side hustle that utilizes her talents and life experiences. She's now a life coach who supports people who know they’re meant for more to create a clear vision and a plan to bring it to life and get them from where they are to where they want to be.

She recently paid off the last $42,000 in student loans in just twenty-two months and now uses her budget ninja tactics to help others find freedom from their money struggles.

Her advice on managing money and international travel has been shared across various websites, blogs and podcasts including The Scott Alan Turner Show, Credit.com, Brit+Co and Better Stories.com

Some of the topics we discuss are:

  • How finding ease, peace and a sense of control over your money can allow you to take risks, invest in yourself and support your dreams. Here are three thoughts I would be happy to share:
  • Why and how did Katrina create a new and healthier relationship with my money?
  • What's Katrina's current financial situation and how do I feel about it? (spoiler alert: She makes a lot less now than she did before her career break but she's so much happier)
  • What is one big myth about budgeting / managing your money that Katrina wants to dispel? (spoiler alert: that it can't be fun!)

You can connect with Katrina at her website (www.kmcgheecoaching.com) and find out about her money master class.
