Flera av kommunens förvaltningar har ett tätt samarbete med kommunpolis Jonas Junered, som till och med har sitt kontor i Kommunhuset på Södergatan i Märsta. Det gemensamma målet är en ökad säkerhet och trygghet. Tack vare informationsutbyten och uppgifter om olika händelser eller utmaningar får både Polisen och kommunen en bra lägesbild och kan lättare bedöma vilka insatser som bör göras och var. Polisen behöver också tips från allmänheten för att kunna förebygga brott, bekämpa brottslighet och skapa trygghet i samhället.
