This week's midweek tea with Bianca and Monique: Turning Something Traumatic Into Something Beautiful TW: We talk about rape and sexual assault in today's episode. 1 every 2 minutes, someone in the U.S. is sexually assaulted and a new survivor is forced to carry a burden no one should. This week I interviewed our very own Bianca. Bianca had the courage to speak up and share her story. Those of you who know of Bianca would never have guessed something traumatic would happened to her at the age of 10! She has always carried herself so well that no one knew outside of her small town. If you haven't heard her story, she shares a bit about it in a solo episode (click here to listen).
Today's episode we go more into detail about what happened, the things that she went through, how she stayed positive, what she has learned. For many, hearing and sharing stories can play a vital role in their recovery from trauma.
