Pregnancy After Loss can be met with much anticipation, along with worry, anxiety, fear, and frustration.

Today’s guest experienced the loss of her daugther Emelia at birth, then experienced two miscarriages before having her two son’s. Jessica Weeks, our UK Sister in Loss, daughter Emelia was told she would not make it at birth due to being diagnosed at 20 weeks with spinal bifida and anencephaly. Parts of her brain and skull were missing and her spine and spinal cord had not developed properly. Jessica was told to terminate her pregnancy, but she persisted. Emelia was born and lived for 57 minutes and was perfect and a miracle.

In today’s episode, Jessica takes us back to that moment of losing Emelia, and how she had to share the news with her daugther Hannah. She realized it was difficult to share the news with Hannah and started her non profit organization Hannah’s House to help other families as they navigated pregnancy after loss and parenting after loss. Jessica went onto have two more boys with miscarriages in between those pregnancies and shares her pregnancy after loss journey.

This episode is for you to listen to if you have experienced a Pregnancy After Loss or currently trying to conceive.
