There's also "First Man" starring Ryan Gosling as Neil Armstrong and Claire Foy ("The Crown") as his wife, Janet. It's directed by Damien Chazelle, who did "LaLa Land." Does it get off the ground or is it a failure to launch? And all of this happens while we're at the Hamptons International Film Festival. We talk to all sorts of interesting filmmakers about their very varied and interesting movies, all of which were impressive enough to be chosen for this prestigious film festival.
