Live from Steel City, Slam Dunk Cinema is Sheffield’s flagship film review show, presented by Van Connor and his motley crew of obsessed film fans. Slam Dunk Cinema brings you a weekly run-through of everything landing in your local multiplex, along with a look at the week's box office top ten, competitions, interviews, and more. Each show is painstakingly researched and meticulously crafted, with the only rule being that Van must sit through each and every film (whether he wants to or not), all in the name of fair criticism. Rom-coms, tween vampire melodramas and 3D concert movies - starring some thirteen year-old you’ve never heard of - he sits through them all so that you won’t have to suffer yourself. You might think this would drive a man insane after a while, luckily the gang are always on hand to (barely) keep Van from losing his mind. Twice nominated for a European Podcast Award, and hailed by critics as "borderline-obsessive film chatter for the Starbucks generation" and "hilariously pedantic".
