Facebook is addictive and can keep you from focusing on what you need to be focused on. It has the potential of keeping you from a smooth career change along with a number of other goals, pursuits, etc.

Some people have compared Facebook's usage to that of gambling.

The triggers in the brain that keeps you going in for one more round in gambling, is similar to the firing that occurs in the brain when you try to get that one LIKE on your post.

Facebook does have a lot of positive qualities but it cannot be denied that it has as many if not more, negative ones.
