Dave Zirin, sports writer for The Nation, joins us to discuss the exploding protests by NFL players, who followed the example of Colin Kaepernick, against the police killing of Black men, as well as Trumps suggestion that those who take a knee during the national anthem should be fired. Then, we hear the words of the Honorable Mark Anthony Brantley, Saint Kitts and Nevis' Minister of Foreign Affairs, spoken at the 72nd United Nations General Assembly. Brantley lays out the impact and implications of the devastation of the Caribbean region as a result of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, also addressing the reality of global warming. Mexico City-based journalist Laura Carlsen then joins us to discuss what is happening on the ground after three major earthquakes hit the country in the last few weeks.
