Today Pastor Glen Thomas looks at the readings for September 27, the Seventeenth Sunday after Pentecost, Series A in the Three Year Lectionary. The Old Testament and Gospel lessons emphasize repentance, with God in Ezekiel 18 calling for His people to return to Him and Jesus in the Gospel lesson (Matt. 21) emphasizing the baptism and ministry of John the Baptist. The Epistle lesson (Philippians 2) emphasizes living together as a church in humility and love.
