Nutrition is one of the most powerful ways that you can prevent chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and dementia. In recognition of Healthy Eating Week, hear tips and ideas for embracing a plant-based lifestyle. Studies have shown that individuals that incorporate more plant-based foods tend to have lower cholesterol levels, lower blood pressure, and a more healthy weight. On average, they also tend to live longer. The more that you stock your cupboard and refrigerator with high-fiber, antioxidant-rich foods, the more your body will thank you. Since your mind and body are connected, not only will you feel better physically, you also will feel better mentally.
