Quote of the Day:

The most important thing in communication is hearing what isn’t said - Peter Drucker

If you were to ask a someone, what is wrong with my car? And the person said, this is what’s wrong with the car. This is what I am doing. Maybe the radiator men, but we may need to keep it for a couple of days. It maybe around $800, but I am not sure.

They just said a whole bunch of nothing. They didn’t answer what is wrong with your car. They could have just simply said “Not sure yet, I will let you know once I find out.” But, they gave you a whole run around making you more confused.

Now, how many times has this happen to you in your life? How many times has it happen to your entrepreneurial career? That has happened so many times to me when I didn’t know any better and I wasn't able to recognize it. But now, definitely it is important to know what people haven’t said. If you learn how to understand what they don’t say, you will realize the true answer to your question.

If you want an answer from something, ask a direct question. And if they don’t answer directly, you know for a fact what the real answer is.

Topic for the Day:

Would you Rather have Education or Experience?

When you think about think about it first. Seems, when you think about education there is a few pro and cons for both.

With education it seems safer, it is more acceptable, it is more proven. You may still be a bit nervous even after you’ve learn and you are still not sure if what you have learned will work truly. You go to school and you get a degree, then you go out in the world. You do not know what is going to happen. But, you went in and got education.

You don't have too much life experience yet, you’re just entering the real world. You do not have any real bills yet. Haven’t been married yet. And I am talking about the person who when to college after years in highschool and get their masters, whatever it is. Think about that. So, this is what education gets you. You do not know if education is real. Even entrepreneur, you get education but you don’t really know if the person teaching you is credible. You do not know that. They do teach business class, but do they have a business? Are they current entrepreneurs? Do they know what entrepreneur goes through?

This are all the things that needs to be taught about. So, that is education side of things.

Experience is different. You will experience the unknown, you will get hurt. That is guaranteed. First you will gain knowledge, then you will increase confidence. Now, the downside of going straight to education is you are still getting the education. That is actually one more thing. You can gain education with experience, but you cannot gain experience in education. So, for me I would go for experience rather than education for that reason.

When you acquire information or education it is all relative to the person teaching it. And when you learn something from the person teaching it, they are teaching it from how they see it on their point of view. If someone is teaching me how to shoot a basketball and my form maybe different, then I need to adjust. I hope this is making sense for you.

So, if it very important to know and understand the pros and cons of education and experience. But, for me personally.. I would take experience any day because experience will give you and education that education itself can never give you.
