His goal for the next 6 months

• Finances up > $5k (from $2k) allowing him to go back to London (Time stamp: 40:30 + 43:50)
• Build portfolio of clients and deliver results

Some notes

• Three major learnings this month
  1. Mindset advice: focus on 90 min intervals of work. Take breaks religiously. Insight: by working less, he got more done and higher peace of mind.
  2. Due to recent break-up and move to Chiang Mau, lack of focus. Emotional ups and downs. Insight: By committing to ONE thing and showing up persistently, he gets more clients at higher hourly rates. He treats freelancing as a business. No messing around anymore. (Note: let’s see for how long? I will keep him on track!)
  3. Start working and putting things into actions. One step at a time. Insight: Make true decisions. Make true commitments.
• In our first check-in, we heavily discussed the necessity of niching down and having a laser-focused with his offering. It pays off. Insight: It’s all about the power of niches, focus, and clarity.
• Time alone completely off, completely away from family and friends is extremely valuable. Take it. Embrace it. Grow from it.
• One more note on showing up. John stopped pleasing his clients. He is now leading them. He shows up with a business mindset. Not giving them what they want, yet giving them honest, valuable assessments and feedback on what needs to be done. He is not willing to waste their and his ressources (just to make a few bucks). He is now 100% involved in the process. It leads to enjoyment. He says: “Now, I understand what it means to work with joy and contentment.”
