Episode 37 sees Andy and Mitch joined by the director of such films as The Queen of Hollywood Boulevard and Frightfest 2018 selection Hell Is Where The Home Is, Orson Oblowitz!

His chosen film? The Lawnmower Man!

1992. It was a simpler time. The internet was in its infancy and a bunch of cyber tech thrillers made their way to screens. Films like Virtuosity and Johnny Mnemonic and THIS! Brett Leonard's VR nightmare is an interesting film which, while it features some stuff that hasn't aged too well, is also strangely prescient and batshit crazy!

The synopsis is as follows:

The eccentric Dr. Lawrence Angelo puts mentally disabled landscaper Jobe Smith on a regimen of experimental pills and computer-simulated training sequences in hopes of augmenting the man's intelligence. In time Jobe becomes noticeably brighter and also begins to fare much better with the opposite sex. But, as he develops psychic powers, he realizes that those around him have taken advantage of his simplicity his whole life, and he plots a bloody revenge.

The Lawnmower Man AND its sequel are currently available on Amazon Prime in the UK.
