One of the expressions I hear quite often is this one: "Outside the box thinking or Thinking outside the box." Most of the time I have heard it in the context of doing something extraordinary.

You will not be able to accomplish major dreams when you are working within the confines of your limited thinking.

In this episode, our guest - Krystle Jenna Dookoo - shares with us her journey that took her from Trinidad and Tobago to the United States. This was her introduction to "thinking and living outside the box."

She started a blog to talk about what she loved to do and the feedback she received gave her insights as to what she might want to pursue.

Favorite Trinidadian Dish: Doubles, which consists of chick peas, curry and fried flat bread

Favorite Saying: High school motto - not for ourselves only but for others.

Definition of Success:

  • how truly happy and contented you are in life
  • you can have things and still be unhappy

Lessons learned:

  1. Don’t give in to the fear. That’s just a stumbling block keeping you back from your dreams becomnig a reality
  2. If you believe in your heart that this is something you want to do, take the first step; take baby steps.
  3. “Failure are just stepping stones toward success” my dad
  4. Overcome procrastination by writing down a to-do list and following through on it.
