Brushing off the confetti, Jim "Moose" Brown graced the guides in "the bedroom" with his presence after winning 2016 ACM Keyboardist of the Year award. This isn't Moose's only accolade. He has won the same award previously in 2005, 2006, and 2011. But not only ACM trophies sit on his mantle. He has a Grammy for Best Country Song for co-writing "It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere" and has been nominated for his producing skills. Moose co-produced Darryl Worley’s Top 10 hit “Sounds Like Life To Me,” and he also co-produced the critically acclaimed album by Jamey Johnson, “That Lonesome Song,” which features the Top 10 single “In Color,” as well as Jamey’s newest certified Gold double album “The Guitar Song.” Moose has cuts with today's top artists and legendary acts. Not to mention he also plays guitar in Bob Seger's Silver Bullet Band. Brandon and Jason tackle everything in this episode. They find out the stories behind Moose's award-winning songs, the politics involved, and even how to write a hit song. They talk about joining The Silver Bullet Band, how Jamey Johnson nailed his vocal on "In Color," and the guides test Moose's wit with What's That Sound. How can you get plugged into the session world, or even what does it take to record with the best? Thanks to Fat Bottom Brewing for the breakfast in this episode and thanks to past guest Armon Jay for supplying the music. To hear more of Armon Jay's music visit www.armonjay.com.
