Today’s episode features the first in a series of interviews from SHOT Show 2022, an annual event of the NSSF - the Firearm Industry Trade Association. We’re kicking off the SHOT Show Series at the Maxim Defense booth with Kris “Tanto” Paronto, a former Army Ranger from the 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, and a private security contractor who has deployed throughout South America, Central America, the Middle East, and North Africa. He also worked with the US Government’s Global Response Staff conducting low profile security in high threat environments throughout the world. Kris is a dedicated father and the founder of Battleline Tactical, a firearms and tactical training company. He also co-hosts the Battleline Podcast, where he interviews the best and biggest names in the special operations community. In this episode, Adam and Kris discuss instructor development and key takeaways to become a well-rounded instructor with the ability to create and maintain attention, engagement, and learning within your students. Kris highlights the importance of learning from your students and collaborating with other instructors. They also dive into gamifying training, utilizing online content, and in-class vs. on-range training. For more training, the ILET Network community platform allows you exclusive access to events, courses, training resources, and the world's best subject matter experts and instructors. Our FOUNDERS LAUNCH began today – Become a Founding Member Here. For 18 years, serving both in uniform and as a private security contractor, Kris “Tanto” Paronto deployed to the most dangerous places in the world to protect America and its interests. He was part of the CIA annex security team that responded to the terrorist attack on the U.S. Special Mission in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11th, 2012. All alone with no help, these “secret soldiers of Benghazi” fought off terrorists for 13 hours and saved over 20 American lives. Kris’s story along with his brothers in arms from that night is told in the book 13 Hours, written by Mitchell Zuckoff. After giving up his career to go public and tell the truth about Benghazi, Kris founded the 14th Hour Foundation to help ensure that others who’ve served and sacrificed to protect the American homeland, as well as their immediate families, get the help they need. He has dedicated himself to honoring and helping those who’ve served and sacrificed for America, after their mission or fight -- their “14th hour.” Among many other accomplishments, Kris is also author of USA Today Bestseller, The Ranger Wayas well as The Patriot's Creed. His experience and knowledge has led to national speaking events on leadership, faith and overcoming adversity. LOOKING FOR MORE FREE ONLINE CONTENT?
