Next up, Anthony from Texas would like to talk about including Satanists (and specifically The Satanic Temple) in their outreach and is wondering if that is a good way to encourage inclusion. Listen in to hear some amazing wisdom from Vi.
The following caller named Patrick from Liverpool has an easy way to debunk the argument how nothing can’t come from nothing. He explains that nothing doesn’t exist and there was always something there. Tune in to hear more!
The next caller in the queue is Matt from North Dakota wanting to discuss how he can leave the cult he is in. He was a Jehovah’s Witness and has recently become atheist. Isn’t sure what to do. Next up, Noah in Arizona has recently left the Mormon church and is seeing how current members are trying to bring him back socially. Is seeking advice on breaking away from them and setting boundaries. Listen to Eric unpack this, it’s gold!
Afterwards we have James from Hawaii. He wonders about how we are so patient with those who are so angry and vitriolic about faith. Listen in to hear Eric show compassion and patience and briefly talk about the awesome movie Coco.
Billy in LA is next and is seeking to understand the definition of hard solipsism. Vi uses their vast knowledge to expand on this topic: basically you are a brain in a vat.
David in Arkansas is wondering if you know when you fully have transitioned from theist to atheist. Welcome to being free David, we are glad you are a part of our community.
Wow, King Kong is calling from Namibia is calling in about how atheists are above nature and therefore gods. Claiming “True knowledge can only come from the lord.” Listen in to Eric explain the definition of knowledge and gaining knowledge. Circular arguments and appeals to authority incoming!
Mark in London is trying to figure out how to comfort his daughter after losing grandparents in a short amount of time. Kids are very resilient and will be a great source of comfort and can handle a lot of things far better than we understand. Just be truthful and kind, they will reciprocate.
Our last caller of the episode, Almog in Israel calls in saying he feels very alone as an atheist in a very theocratic country. Is wondering how to move forward with his atheism. Perhaps it is time to pack up and find a place where you can feel a part of something.
