The use-of-force pendulum seems to have swung to far to the left (pun intended) as we watch this cop wrestle a pants-less homeless man to the ground instead of tasing him. Doing so exposed the officer to both harm and a homeless man’s exposed penis. Lovely.
The GOP struggles to bring forward a real plan to repeal and replace Obamacare. And they’re playing all proposed solutions pretty close to the vest.
Of the considerations on the table, Trump continually references selling insurance across state lines as an important early step. But will that actually help? I’m not sold.
And speaking of frustrating things that Obama had done/is doing, it looks like he’s not planning to follow the Bush example of fading into the background post-presidency. In fact, it looks like just the opposite. Sources report he is working to establish a task force to get Trump impeached. Good luck with that….
On that note, Jeff Sessions has officially recused himself from the investigation of Russian ties to Trump. Now don’t get me wrong, if the accusations have merit, I fully support an investigation. But if this is just another episode in the “we refuse to accept Trump is president” saga, then can we just move on? I think everyone Republican is looking forward to this being over with, the country has more pressing concerns that demand the attention of the DOJ.
